Incontinence:
Leakage with coughing, sneezing and exercises can be the cause of poor pelvic floor control or strength or just poor management of the pressure in the body. We can teach you tricks and help gain control over these leaks and strengthening exercises to give you back control.
Core and belly control:
The main complaints after baby are that the belly is just not as tight and you don’t feel in control. It is also common that the abdominal muscles can separate causing a Diastasis Recti Abdominis which can be addressed by core retaining and manual techniques to turn the core back on.
Back and hIp pain
Back and hip pain are very common during and after pregnancy! The body can change so much and a little hands-on treatment and program can help with your issues and problems.
Posture and neck pain:
With the change in pace of life and the body in general during and after pregnancy, we can lose our proper posture and this can create back pain and neck pain. Nursing or feeding and holding the baby more can cause our back to be more rounded and tight muscles.
Scars
Scars can often lead to poor muscle activation and movement of the body. They are also known to be a factor with other bladder, back and bowel issues or even pain with sex! We can help you reduce and improve the feel and look of your scars to minimize other issues.
Return to Fitness:
Its a great goal to get back to the gym but sometimes we rush too quickly. With a core assessment and some stabilization strengthening to address the most common issues for back, belly, breathing and pelvic floor control - you can rest assured you are safe to return to your priorities.
Painful sex
Mom’s who’ve delivered vaginally or by C-section can have pelvic floor issues. Pelvic floor muscles can be affected from the growing baby during pregnancy, during labor, or delivery and may be to blame for the pain. Scars and hormones can also be to blame for changes in sexual desires and pleasure.
